Like just about all her fans, it seems Miranda Lambert is over all this “taking a break” B.S.

Speaking with Kansas country radio station 94.5 Country in a recent interview, the superstar singer-songwriter opened up about life under quarantine — and how hard it is for a touring artist to sit still. After months of staying at home (and off the stages she’s become so accustomed to), Lambert acknowledged the need to wait out a virus which could literally kill her fans if they all got together for a concert … but said she’s ready to get back to real life.

“I’m most looking forward to being able to kind of go out and sit on the deck with my friends and have a beer,” Lambert said. “And I guess the biggest part of going back to normal is the road, you know? I enjoyed the break — I’ve been doing this for a long time — but I also miss the fans, the band, the crew.

“I miss the feeling of sharing in the music with all these people that I’m not able to see,” she went on. “So I am definitely looking forward to that.”

Lambert’s far from the only one feeling that way, but it’s not to say her time off has been boring. The icon scored her first Number One at country radio in six years with “Bluebird” last month, and was recently revealed as a cast member in an intriguing new scripted podcast, titled Make It Up as We Go.
