On December 3, Carrie Underwood and HBO Max will bring the holiday spirit to living rooms around the country with the debut of My Gift: A Christmas Special from Carrie Underwood.

“I’m thrilled to be collaborating with Playtone and HBO Max to bring My Gift to life,” said the singer. “Just like the album, I hope this special will help bring some much-needed joy and become part of the soundtrack to people’s holiday festivities this year as it streams throughout the season and beyond.”

“This special is an homage to the classic, timeless holiday specials, highlighting the vocal gifts of the incomparable Carrie Underwood,” says producer Gary Goetzman. “She’s an artist who transcends genres and shows here why audiences love her around the world.”

The broadcast will feature many of the songs recorded for Underwood’s My Gift album, including the duet with John Legend. Viewers will also get a behind-the-scenes look at the recording of “Little Drummer Boy” with her five-year-old son Isaiah.

The special will be executive produced by Underwood, Goetzman, Tom Hanks and Underwood’s manager Ann Edelblute. Sandra Restrepo has signed on as director, with production design by Tom Lenz and wardrobe styling by Marina Toybina.

The Oklahoma native will fill the holiday season with several other appearances. In addition to HBO Max, the singer will participate in the iHeartRadio Christmas Special, a virtual concert airing on iHeartMedia’s AC, HOT AC and Classic Hits stations all across the U.S., on November 25. Additionally, she’s teamed up with Amazon Music and Ring Doorbell for the “Favorite Time of Year” caroling challenge that will encourage fans to record themselves singing to the new track on their doorbell camera.

My Gift: A Christmas Special From Carrie Underwood will be available to stream starting Thursday, Dec. 3 on HBO Max.
