Newcomer on the rise Parker McCollum follows his breakout hit with an album full of non-conforming, self-written country on Gold Chain Cowboy, the “Pretty Heart” singer’s full length major-label debut.

Set to arrive July 30 and featuring 10 tracks, every song on the album was written or co-written by the Texas native and former indie standout, as he continues a march from the Lone Star state to national stardom.

Co-writers include the album’s producer Jon Randall (who also co-produced and collaborates with Miranda Lambert on her rootsy recent effort, The Marfa Tapes), plus Texas country favorites like Randy Rogers and Wade Bowen. Legendary tunesmiths like Tony Lane and Rhett Akins are also tapped for the project, and even Florida Georgia Line’s Brian Kelley, as McCollum looks to build on early success.

The singer-songwriter hit Number One with his Platinum certified “Pretty Heart” in 2019, turning heads with a busted up ballad of self-examination that stood apart from it’s uptempo competition. That song is included on Gold Chain Cowboy, as is his current radio single, “To Be Loved By You.” And in announcing the set, McCollum has also released another raw and reflective ballad, the confessional “Rest of My Life.”

Parker McCollum released his Hollywood Gold EP in 2020, and after mixing a run of headlining dates with fair and festival appearances this summer, he’ll join Dierks Bentley for the Beers On Me Tour starting August 13 in West Valley City, Utah.
