The dream duet every country fan has been waiting for is officially here. Country queens Reba and Dolly Parton put their iconic vocals together to revive the classic country staple, “Does He Love You.”

The two legends finally made the collaboration come to life as they ask the tough lyrical question about the man they both have fallen for. The voice notes from Parton and McEntire blend in a beautifully arranged harmony, bringing both a sense of heartbreak and curiosity throughout the track.

In the music video released on Saturday, the two singers cross paths at what looks to be a jazz bar as they confront each other about the sticky romantic situation they are in. They acknowledge one another with respect as they share a drink before taking the stage to finish the ballad together.

Fans have had a lot of time to anticipate this duet as Parton first announced the news back in July while appearing on Watch What Happens Next. After years of trying to work together, Parton explained the two ladies were finally getting their chance to be on a song.

“We redid the song ‘Does He Love You,’ that she did years and years ago. We did a new version of it, and it turned out really good. I’ve always wanted to sing with her, and I don’t know why we never did it until now, but we really sounded good together. I think the fans are gonna like it,” Parton explained.

McEntire originally recorded “Does He Love You” back in 1993 with country singer Linda Davis. While the song now features Parton, it still holds true to the same message portrayed nearly 30 years ago.

Fans can check out McEntire’s latest release, Revived Remixed Revisited, on streaming services now.
