Tara Thompson Ties the Knot in Las Vegas Chapel Ceremony

Headed to the chapel and they’re going to get married as Tara Thompson is officially off the market!
The country singer headed to Las Vegas to get hitched in one of its several chapels on the Strip on Saturday evening (February 27). The couple exchanged their vows in an intimate ceremony with just their closest family members, and Elvis as the officiant, surrounding them. While Thompson admitted she didn’t think she would ever actually get married, she and her husband were beaming throughout the night.
“Engaged in London & married in Vegas! Well…. you know what they say, “Never say never”. Looks like I broke my “engagement for life” plan. Feb 27th just so happens to be our 5 year anniversary, so we decided to make that day even more special…Our wedding day. I did say I would never wear a wedding dress, so I did keep my word there 😉,” Thompson said in her Instagram post.
Thompson also posted many Stories on her Instagram feed to take her fans and followers along for the ride. She noted that while this moment may change her life in some ways, she is still the same country girl at heart.
“My name may be Mrs. Smith on paper, but y’all can still call me Tara Thompson… Tara Damn Thompson if you’re feeling sassy. Feb 27th will forever be the day I became a wife to the man of my dreams and an ‘official’ step mother to my sweet Ava Jolie Smith, that I adore more than life itself. Cheers to the rest of our lives!!! Thank you @cmt for introducing us! It all started with the women of country tour…The rest is history in the makings,” Thompson said.
The pair got engaged on the London Eye in March of 2019 after dating for a couple years.
Thompson’s current single, “Sadr City,” is out now.
