Thomas Rhett takes another single to Number One this week, putting “What’s Your Country Song” on top of multiple country charts.

Marking TR’s 17th time on top of the country charts, “What’s Your Country Song” summits both radio lists — Billboard’s Country Airplay and the Mediabase/Country Aircheck chart — as well as Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart (which measures radio play plus streaming and downloads). And according to him, each hit is more surprising than the last.

“I can hardly wrap my mind around seventeen… what an unreal way to kick off this new chapter of music,” Thomas Rhett said in a statement. “I’m so grateful to the fans and radio for reacting to this one right away after I played a little of it on Instagram basically a year ago — it’s crazy to see it all come full circle. I cannot wait to share the rest with y’all!”

Co-written by star with Rhett Akins, Jesse Frasure, Ashley Gorley and Parker Welling, “What’s Your Country Song” is a feel-good anthem that sways like a gentle breeze, with lyrics dedicated to some of the biggest country songs in history — and how they encapsulate a country life.

The track is the lead single from Thomas Rhett’s upcoming fifth album, Country Again: Side A, the first half of a double studio set due on April 30. The Tennessee native announced that project in early March, describing it as a return to his roots, and he plans to pair it with Country Again: Side B through a later release.

In other news, the reigning ACM Awards Entertainer of the Year just collected four more nominations at this year’s ceremony, set to air April 18 on CBS.
