Thompson Square’s GRAMMY ‘Vision’ Becomes Reality
Husband and wife duo Thompson Square will fulfill a life-long dream on Sunday when they attend the 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards. The duo is nominated for two GRAMMYs, Best Country Duo/Group Performance and Best Country Song, for their No.1 hit “Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not.” Being nominated for a GRAMMY is something that Keifer and Shawna Thompson don’t take lightly.
“It’s going to be a total dream come true,” Shawna Thompson tells CountryMusicIsLove. “I actually have a vision board at home that I made about four or five years ago, maybe longer than that, and I have a little picture of a GRAMMY award on it. As a singer, that’s like the biggest accomplishment you can ever achieve, and it’s pretty wild to know that we actually have those nominations now.”
While Shawna has had a life-long vision to be nominated and ultimately win a GRAMMY, she has yet to find a vision for her GRAMMY Awards ensemble.
“I have not figured that out yet,” she tells us. “Unfortunately, I think it’s going to be a very, very last minute decision just because we’re so busy right now and traveling so much. It’s going to be a surprise to me as much to everyone else.”
