Surprise! Maren Morris made a guest appearance at Coachella over the Easter weekend when she performed her collaborative smash, “The Middle,” with EDM-DJ Zedd on Sunday, April 21.

The Texas native hit the stage during Zedd’s headlining performance to belt out the catchy hit, strutting her stuff on stage. In a video posted to YouTube by a fan, Morris looked glam as ever rocking a pair of short leather shorts and a neon yellow corset on top. Zedd was nearby in all black, standing upon a raised, futuristic looking platform and encircled by a glowing ring.

“The Middle” was a game-changing song for the country songstress, who earned Grammy nominations for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Duo/Group Performance. Stepping into the pop-EDM track was an easy transition for Morris, as she’s had a wide variety of musical influences in her life.

“I don’t think it was too much of a stretch to be a part of this song as a feature and I love Zedd and you just listen to ten seconds of the song and you’re like, ‘This is a bop.’ You want to dance. I don’t ever try to be like, ‘Let’s write a pop song today.’ I just kinda let the chips fall and sometimes it feels more pop and sometimes it’s like straight up traditional country songs, sometimes it’s R&B,” she said to Sounds Like Nashville previously.

The stop at Coachella came during a brief break in her headlining Girl: The World Tour trek. The tour will resume with stops in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Boston and Washington D.C. in the coming weeks.
