Country singer-songwriter Ryan Hurd has released a brand-new single, “Every Other Memory.”

Co-written by Hurd, Cole Taylor (Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Cole Swindell) and Nathan Spicer (Tim McGraw, Chris Janson, Mickey Guyton), the midtempo tune details the genesis of being in love and how with every date and memory made, the guy in this song knew he had met someone special.

That sunset, barefoot, fire on the beach / I can still feel your hands all over me / And when the sky lights up / Girl, it’s your shade of blue / ‘Cause every other memory / Every other memory is you,” Hurd sings, recalling the fond memories.

“‘Every Other Memory’ just feels like such a nostalgic track,” the Sony/RCA Records artist shared. “It’s so cool because it feels like each line in the song is almost like an emoji. It’s a feeling and it’s a picture that you can just really grab onto. The way the words came out, it just felt like each picture was really amazing.”

Maren Morris also revealed to fans that she harmonized on her husband’s song because she “loved the demo so much,” making this recording extra special.

Hurd’s latest release follows his cover of Taylor Swift’s “False God,” which dropped last week, as well as the Top 20 hit single “To A T.” Earlier this month, in light of the ongoing global pandemic, the singer also dropped a visual for his uplifting tune Platonic EP cut “Wish for the World.”

“Every Other Memory” is expected to hit country radio in May.
