There were two big announcements regarding the Bobby Bones Show on Wednesday morning (10/9). One, the national morning show won CMA Broadcast Personality of the Year AND Two, Lunchbox is about to be a dad for a second time!

While news broke of the winners for the CMA Awards, the members of the Bobby Bones Show were busy figuring out another secret piece of information – and who had to share it. In a video posted to YouTube, as well as airing live on the radio, the team goes around guessing who has the big life announcement to share.

It turns out that Lunchbox (real name: Dan Chappell) and his wife are expecting their second child together. After the crew determined it was his secret, the proud dad-to-be broke down in tears from pure joy.

“We found out early July,” revealed Lunchbox, before adding that baby two is due on March 10, 2020. Like with their first-born, the couple won’t find out the gender ahead of time.

He added that his wife is doing well, though more sick than the last pregnancy. They’ve also been steadily monitoring for gestational diabetes and making sure that her blood sugar stays in balance.

“It’s emotional to know you’re going to be a dad again. It’s not a sad cry, I’m so excited,” he added in between tears.

Dubbed “Baby Box,” the couple’s first born arrived about six weeks early. He had to spend several weeks in the NICU before being discharged to go home.

“At first, they just thought they were just going to rush him to the NICU, but he was doing so well that my wife actually got to hold him, so that was really cool. She was really upset that she wasn’t going to be able to hold him but she got to hold him for maybe a minute,” he shared at the time.

Congratulations to the happy family!
