Fast-rising Country-Latin duo Kat & Alex are continuing their string of hit-ready releases with a brand-new song, “I Want It All.”

Arriving just after their one-year wedding anniversary, the power ballad spotlights the couple’s spellbinding harmonies and knack for writing a pristine country love song.

“I want your Friday nights, your Sunday mornings / Your all blue skies and won’t stop stormings / I miss you texts and drunk phone calls / Oh I want it, I want it, I want it all / I know you’re hurt, I know your heart’s been broke / But I can love you like you’ve never known / That guard you got up, let it fall / ‘Cause I want it, I want it, I want it all,” Kat & Alex sing on the emotional chorus, promising to be there for each other through life’s highs and lows.

The storyline isn’t spun from a fictional narrative — the pair wrote the romantic tune with AJ Pruis shortly after tying the knot in January 2021 and took inspiration from their own wedding vows.

“The idea was brought up in a writing session with AJ Pruis where we talked about just recently getting married. It’s basically wedding vows in a song,” shares the pair’s Kat and Alex Georgia. “[I Want It All] means so much to us because when we got married we promised to be there for each other through the good, bad, and everything in between.”

The song’s accompanying music video perfectly captures their message. Premiering via broadcast on CMT, CMT Music, and the Paramount Times Square billboard screens, the poignant visual alternates between monochrome footage of Kat and Alex’s early days of courtship and their now still-madly in love life as a married couple.

“I Want It All” is a soaring, yet charming sentimental ode. It boasts heartfelt lyrics and impeccable vocal chemistry reminiscent of the timeless duets made famous by the likes of Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Reba McEntire and Vince Gill, and George Jones and Tammy Wynette.

Sonically, the pair did something different as well. With their multi-genre influences, Kat & Alex wanted to incorporate different production lines, such as some “pop-like vocal riffs” led by Kat’s powerhouse voice, “baritone guitar licks,” and a hard-hitting “post-chorus that makes everyone just want to sing along out loud.” They even opted out on the “common soaring guitar solo” to “split up the dynamics of the song.” However, despite the fact, the enchantment of a steadfast romantic relationship is still wonderfully expressed on this stirring offering.

Since the top of the year, Kat & Alex have been previewing the chorus of “I Want It All” on TikTok by incorporating it into their wedding video footage, kitchen singalongs, and house dance parties. The marketing strategy was a hit success, with one of their posts amassing over 900k views and almost 140k likes.

“I Want It All” is Kat & Alex’s first new release since “Most Nights,” “Heartbreak Tour” and “You and the Radio” dropped last year. Signed to Sony Music Nashville, the duo launched into the scene in 2020 with their major label debut single, “How Many Times.”

Named as one of Sounds Like Nashville’s 2022 Artists to Watch, Kat & Alex were also spotlighted on the site’s “Get To Know” series last year. In case you missed it, check out the exclusive interview here.
